Kenny Anderson, who lived in Norwood, turns 45 Friday.
Anderson, a former professional basketball player, was born Oct. 9, 1970.
Born in Queens, N.Y., Anderson played 14 seasons in the NBA with nine teams, most notably the New Jersey Nets, who drafted him with the second overall pick in the 1991 draft.
Anderson was a First-Team All-American in college at Georgia Tech. The point guard finished his all-star career with 10,789 points, 5,196 assists and 1,258 steals.
Anderson recently coached high school basketball in Florida and was a member of a goodwill delegation of basketball players led by Dennis Rodman who traveled to North Korea to play.
